December 10, 2020 – The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) and Pheasants Forever Inc., and Quail Forever (PF & QF) are pleased to announce the formal continuation of their successful partnership through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was signed this week during the 17th Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit, held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

This MOU allows CSF, the leading organization for sportsmen and women in the political arena, and PF & QF, leading conservation organizations dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife, to continue helping conservation thrive through a formal joint effort. Following the successful partnership enjoyed between the organizations during the past five years, the purpose of this new MOU is to strengthen their long-term relationship and ultimately further protect and advance the future of hunting and upland wildlife management in the United States.

Both CSF and PF & QF possess resources designed to advance conservation goals benefitting sportsmen and women. Defining and establishing a recognized partnership between CSF and PF & QF – primarily within each state, but also at the national level – will allow each organization to continue to leverage the other’s abilities and become increasingly effective at promoting science-based wildlife management and protecting our hunting heritage for future generations. By renewing this MOU, CSF and PF & QF also reaffirm their mutual support for each other’s mission, ensuring that both organizations continue to operate on behalf of the nation’s sportsmen and women, both on the ground and in the halls of government.
“The relationship between CSF and Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever has been instrumental in advancing conservation priorities across the nation that will ultimately have lasting affects for years to come,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “By extending this Memorandum of Understanding through 2025, we look forward to continuing this integral and successful relationship for the betterment of wildlife conservation, public access, and opportunities for our nation’s sportsmen and women.”

“Our conservation advocacy work on local, state, and national levels is compounded by the strong relationship we have formed with the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation,” stated Howard K. Vincent, president and CEO of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. “Extending our Memorandum of Understanding through 2025 will allow our respective organizations to help advance key policy work for the future of conservation funding and critical public access legislation. We’re thankful for this phenomenal partnership with CSF and look forward to representing key issues for sportsmen and sportswomen on a unified front.”

PF & QF has been a partner of CSF on many levels over the years and has supported the work of both the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) as well as NASC members across the country. CSF and PF & QF now look forward to maintaining an even greater level of collaboration developed during the last five years in support of a long-term strategy for success that will provide additional support to the 49 state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses and over 2,000 state legislators who are members of the NASC. Likewise, CSF will continue to identify relevant policy priorities and pursue opportunities to engage PF & QF staff and volunteers in support of our time-honored traditions.
