5,000 acre hunting preserve on the southeast Georgia coast

PEAK SEASON: OCTOBER THRU DECEMBER     AMENITIES: AMMUNITION + BERETTA GUN RENTALS, PRO SHOP, EVENT HOSTING

THE HUNT

Dorchester Shooting Preserve offers more than 5,000 acres of pristine quail habitat. The property has been managed for more than 10 years, offering early released fast-flying birds. Dorchester supplements its own wild bird population seasonally, giving hunters the best flying birds possible.

As a wing-shooter, you know that a personable, skilled and safe guide can make all the difference in your day in the field. At Dorchester, our guides have years of hunting experience and possess the skills and know-how to ensure you have a quality experience. Our hunts are designed to accommodate two hunters per guide and hunt buggy to optimize your time in the field.

Well-trained retrievers and pointers are a source of pride at Dorchester. Young, healthy, enthusiastic dogs make the day even more enjoyable as you walk behind these agile hunters. Guests are welcome to bring their own well-trained, professional hunting dogs to their own hunts. Just let us know so we can plan accordingly.

LODGING

The hunting operation is supported by seven cottages…providing accommodations for up to 30 hunters. Cottages offer fireplaces, screen porches, modern conveniences and fully equipped kitchens. Conveniently located next to The Lodge and its dining facilities, outdoor cooking pavilion and Pro Shop, the cottages accommodate all the needs of our guests for one night or an extended stay.

EVENTS

For larger groups such as weddings, family reunions and corporate retreats, our dining and great room easily accommodates 40 to 75 guests depending upon your desired seating arrangements.  After the meeting, there’s plenty of space to gather near the fireplace in the large, screened porch, or outside on benches and rocking chairs around our custom-built fire-pit for much reminiscing of the day’s events and tomorrows adventures to come.

Whether you are seeking accommodations for just a few or a family or group of many we have accommodations just for you.

The two cottages on site can accommodate up to 10 people.  The Holland Cottage and Lyons Cottage both offer beautifully appointed bedrooms with adjoining baths, screened porches, full-equipped kitchens and cozy living and dining areas.

It is our goal to exceed your expectations.  Allow us to specialize an itinerary for you today!
