This axe has a 2-pound Hudson Bay–style head, one of the oldest axe patterns in America. It is drop forged in the United States from American-made 5160 alloy steel hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 54-56 HRC. The handle is premium, straight-grain hickory that originates in Appalachia and is designed for maximum comfort and safety. $158
