Ask Ben O. Williams and he will tell you that the wingshooting season does not start on opening day. Indeed, bird hunting is a year-round endeavor in the Williams household. Perhaps, therefore, it’s best to view Ben as a custodian of the countryside over which he hunts his dogs—for his methods surely favor his quarry above his game bag.

Ben Williams is a naturalist in the truest sense—an outdoorsman whose actions bridge the divide between environmentalist and hunter. He is a man for conservation and a man for hunting. After more than 50 years in the field, his love for the land, the game birds it supports, and his pointing dogs endures.
