Behind the Stories:Jeff Gillaspie of Tinker Kennels—Hunting on Horseback on the South Dakota Prairies

Jeff Gillaspie, the owner and operator of Tinker Kennels, describes his perspective from 5 feet higher than hunters on foot while aboard his Tennessee Walkers following his beloved English setters. He left his day job in town to guide hunters on horseback and to train his bird dogs full time. He discusses his love for the South Dakota prairies and prairie chickens and sharp-tailed grouse. He tells the stories of hunting with the Covey Rise team in the fall of 2019.
