After spending more than eight years in the UK running retail shops, Ramona Brumby of Atlanta’s The London Trading Company came home. “My passion is anything to do with décor, decorating, and design,” says Ramona, who now has three shops in Atlanta: London Trading Company (also the name of the parent company), Town & Country, and Southern Traditions.

“Originally, my stores were oriented more to furniture, design, and antiques. That was successful in the UK, and we dabbled in outerwear, too. But when I moved back to the U.S., I knew there were lots of antique stores and decorator stores here and the world didn’t need one more. Some ladies walked into our store and because we had a collection of British clothing, they said, ‘If you could just come up with some beautiful hunting gear that we can wear, that’s what we’re after.’”

Ramona says those were clothes and accessories designed for outdoor activities, what she calls “the classic country look.” She learned in Britain that travelers were eager to buy the best items to take back to their home countries, and knew from her time in the UK which sporting brands around the world were top quality. She carries those same well known and trusted brands now in her stores. She offers a full line of men’s and women’s sporting attire made from natural materials such as leather, tweed, silk, wool, and waxed cotton.
