A LOOK INSIDE THE LATEST ISSUE OF COVEY RISE: VOLUME 10, NUMBER 1

Cover by John Hafner

Where did the time go? We can’t believe that Covey Rise has already turned 10, and to celebrate a decade of devotion to the upland lifestyle, we want to give back to our readers by mailing them this exclusive 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition as part of their subscription.

The Covey Rise team has collected the best of the best from years of publishing the stories that we love from afield. The Collector’s Edition includes over 250 pages of our favorite features, columns, photographs, and stories for you to enjoy. This issue is a timeless book that gives you world-class storytelling from the most distinguished photographers and writers in the uplands.

In this issue, you’ll read classic stories about prominent people and conservationists such as T. Boone Pickens and Chuck Leavell. Bird dogs are often the key to our best upland hunts, and we feature Delmar Smith, the evolution of a gun-dog owner, and a sweet story about a little Cocker named Elvis hunting quail in the South. We spotlight shotguns from London best to those classics we grew up with. You can live the life of bird hunting from wild prairie birds in South Dakota to challenging driven hunts in England. We showcase our favorite upland artistry and numerous food and drink recipes from world-renowned chefs and writers. You’ll see classics from Ben O. Williams, Doc Blythe, and Frank A. Dog. As always, we promote the camaraderie of the experience through articles on whiskey, cigars, and wine, and there’s so much more.

Every Covey Rise issue honors the best of the sporting life. Each story within makes time stand still for a brief moment in the present, while providing critical vision for where we want to go from here. We hope you add this 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition to your library. Thanks for the support over the last decade, and let’s celebrate Covey Rise together.
